Getting Started videos

This video showcase will guide you through the Steps required to ensure your learning experience with us, is a productive one. It will also highlight the way in which you should book a course.

STEP 1 - CHOOSE YOUR QUALIFICATION TYPE

The iSMTA works closely with Industry Qualifications (IQ) and other awarding bodies and partners to ensure that learners receive the recognition they deserve when completing an e-learning course of study with the iSMTA.

STEP 2 - PAY FOR YOUR COURSE

On all of our certification courses you have two methods of payment:

One – is to purchase the course in full. This will give you access to all the Units to work through in your own time.

Two – is to purchase individual or grouped units. This enables you to pay as you go and when you require the next unit, all you need to do is use the same purchase button as you used to purchase your first unit. You can see the amount of purchases required above the button.

STEP 3 - GETTING STARTED EMAIL

Once your payment has been processed, the first email you will receive from us will be your initial login and password creation instructions. In order to set up your password, you will need to read the email carefully and click on the long URL link to create your unique password.

Once you have created your new password you will have access to all the courses and units you have purchased. You will receive individual emails for all courses and units you have purchased.

STEP 4 - TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Each course is distance learning via e-learning. For optimal experience you will be required to have access to the following:

  • A PC or Laptop running Windows XP and above, or a Mac running OSX
  • web browser such as Internet Explorer 9, Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari. Cookies and Java Scripts enabled
  • If you are using a tablet or smartphone, then applications have been designed mobile friendly, enable optimal delivery
  • Internet connection speed of at least 3G, but we recommend over 1Mb

STEP 5 - GETTING YOUR WORK MARKED

Depending on what course you have booked on depends on the way we mark your work. Once all the completed work has been marked, it will be sent to the external auditor to be quality assessed and then the certificate will be claimed. This whole process can take up to 30 days dependant on the External Assessors commitments. It is worth noting that type of qualification you are applying for must follow the Regulated Qualification Framework and as such the awarding body conducts the required due-diligence to ensure your qualification meets the required standards.
