Summary

I think the course has provided a fairly solid introduction to security management. I think the assignments are a good way of exploring the sector in greater detail and this encourages the student to do research of their own. This really gets the student to think about the attributes a security manager should possess and ultimately what is expected of them on a professional level should security management either be their current job or future aspiration. Having recently completed the course with an aim to progressing my career I would say the content is broad enough to cover the main aspects of security and give a better understanding of role and responsibility. The reference books supplied were of great benefit and will continue to act as a relevant source of information in the future. The course questions do require a period of reflection to fully understand what is being asked and the course feedback when submitting modules was slow or non existent at times. I enjoyed the course and found it to be both stimulating and thought provoking.
